During your ACCA SBL exam, you will need to use the information you have been given about Corjetz and apply that to the questions you’re given. So let’s dive straight in!
Corjetz is a highly profitable low-cost airline company that was established 20 years ago by brother Eric and Axel. By offering significantly cheaper and more convenient air travel, Corjetz has seen huge growth increasing both its profits and passenger numbers year on year.

2. How to approach the Corjetz pre-seen
So you’ve got access to the pre-seen, now what do you do?
The biggest challenge you have right now is making sure you spend your precious time wisely. We recommend reading through the Corjetz pre-seen at least three times to ensure you are comfortable with the material and you understand it.
But first, you also need to know what to look out for.
The ACCA states that you will not need to do additional research based on Corjetz. So, no need to stress about becoming an industry expert in two weeks. Instead, you will need to be an expert on the information in the SBL pre-seen itself, so like we said above, be sure to read it carefully!
With two weeks to prepare, however, there is a trade-off – the ACCA SBL exam has been shortened from 4 hours to 3 hours 15 minutes.
To benefit from the changes, it’s important to familiarise yourself with Corjetz before you go into the exam.
Remember, you will have access to the SBL pre-seen in the exam (for reference if needed), but you definitely do not want to waste your time reading it from scratch on the day.
With that, allocate some time beforehand to immerse yourself into the business of Corjetz, rather than during the exam while you’re trying to focus on identifying and structuring an appropriate response to the questions.

While there are certain to be some silver-linings to this update of this pre-seen (including the qualification being more relevant to your future potential employers and letting you do some additional preparation), this isn’t to say there won’t be some new challenges too!
Here are some challenges that the ACCA Strategic Business Leader exam may now present with its new Corjetz pre-seen component:
Time:
Instead of devoting the weeks before the exam to studying theory, you will need to spend these last two weeks studying Corjetz (probably alongside working a job and whatever other commitments you have in your life), which can be demanding.
Difficulty:
The examiners will now expect you to have entered the exam with a full understanding of Corjetz as a company.
The questions you’ll be asked will likely now be more demanding to take this into account, as you won’t be using your brainpower to get your head around the scenario during the ACCA SBL exam.
A new format:
The SBL pre-seen is the only pre-seen element in the ACCA exams, so you may never have encountered this form of exam preparation before. Knowing how to prioritise your time, both before and during the exam itself, may be difficult for you.

4. Importance of mock exams
Our advice? Do as many mock exams as you can get your hands on!
There is a narrow, two-week gap between the Corjetz pre-seen release and the exam. You may find many mock exams out there that are quite generic, and not tailored to the Corjetz pre-seen. So, if you can find any mock exams that will test your ability to apply your knowledge to Corjetz specifically, snap them up! This kind of practice could be a great help ahead of your exam and could give you an edge.
Perhaps the most important thing to think about when completing mocks (or any practice questions) is to do them under exam conditions. That means removing all distractions (and study notes) and sitting the mock exam with the same time constraints that you would have in the real thing. If you don’t get used to the time limits in your mock exams, you’ll really struggle in the exam itself!
