About SCS Mock 1

This mock is difficult. There is a lot of unseen content to digest and time management is key. Students will need to think strategically and balance this with financial viability. All this needs to be done in the context of risk, ethics and legislation.

The first section looks at evaluation (business and financial) of a new product using fitness software. It will also explore the ethical dilemma of acquiring competitor information (on their new products) in order to stay ahead of them.

The second section looks at how fitness based expert systems can reduce the role of personal trainers. The resistance to this new system and the change management steps required to implement it will also be discussed.

The final section of the mock starts with an analysis of several business valuations to ascertain a suitable IPO price. It then proceeds to discuss the governance requirements for a public limited company.
